Mouse will ONLY stay on pad when the pad is on a flat surface. It will not work if placed on a chair or back of a sofa, etc. I work on my laptop while sitting in a lounge chair. While the pillow (for the most part) stays securely on an armrest of a chair, the mouse doesn't. In this regard, it has not lived up to my expectations. It was clearly stated that this is the "ultimate solution" to keep the mouse in place when used from the arm/couch; However, this fails miserably. DO NOT buy this item if you expect this. Maybe it would be a good idea if it had a guide around the edges to keep the mouse from falling in different directions. I didn't need a regular mouse pad, but that's basically what I got. It doesn't perform any better than any other mouse pad I've used in the last 30 years.
