This hair color blend (#1B/6/1B Balayage Natural Black to Chestnut Brown) is suitable for black to dark brown hair (for roots or whole hair color). The brow color Balayage Dark Brown to Chestnut is a very subtle color transition with no sharp lines. But at the ends it is much darker (maroon) than in the picture. I'd say auburn is more like a 6N on the light brown side, but definitely not a 7 (maybe a very dark cool blonde). Hair is light, free of fancy odors and ready to wear a pack. If you have very thick hair I would suggest buying at least 2 packs to allow the color to show. If your hair is a soft brown to dark brown, this pairs well with medium or light brown hair (darker roots are needed for this). The traces are thin but not the thinnest hair extensions I've tried. Since the rails are secured with lace mesh, this adds some bulk to the base of the clips (but isn't a huge factor as it's a lot thinner than other cheaper extensions). These extensions are thinner in color and subdued/soft in color. I would recommend these extensions for a very straight and easy to blend extension from dark brown to soft black hair. They blend much easier for those who don't have a lighter color on the tips.
