Review on Kamik Boys WaterbugWIDE Charcoal Toddler Boys' Shoes in Boots by Shawn Jacobs

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Lets all the water in!

I think we got a defective pair because these boots leaked horribly. We live in Minnesota and it's been a particularly harsh, cold, snowy winter. I bought them for an outdoor college football game in November when it was 25 degrees Fahrenheit. I spent my money on the best boots I could knowing my 2 year old loves being outside. They are warm, nothing to complain about and fit my tall thin child well (I always buy snow/rain boots a size up so they last all season). The top of the boot is down every time we go outside. Good in dry, hard frosts (below freezing, no problem) but terrible on a sunny winter day. No water over the boot, soaked in the boot. And the liners take a long time to dry. She loves to stomp through puddles, what kid doesn't? But I'm with her every step of the way and my feet are warm and dry. I hate having to put double socks and wellies on my kid as long as they fit her. On the plus side we've worn them almost exclusively all winter and they still look great, but I will warn future wearers that they are only intended for dry conditions. piss off!

Pros
  • I had a pair before and liked them. Not used yet...
Cons
  • Boots may not be waterproof, resulting in wet feet and discomfort in children.
