I thought it was strange that it was not sent in its original packaging.Then i opened it and was punched in the face with the overwhelming smell of febreeze.I quickly checked the bed and saw cat fur all over it.Also saw brown/black flecks.I may have just infested my home with fleas by opening this.I immediately stuffed the bed back into the bag and contacted amazon.This is awful for so many reasons.1) i ordered a new item and was given an obviously used item2) the overwhelming smell of febreeze triggered a migraine. I’m highly sensitive to artificial (and some natural) scents.3) you don’t need to be Jackson Galaxy to know that cats are extremely territorial animals. I bought this bed in anticipation of getting a cat (i do not have the cat yet). If i gave any cat a used bed, it would have definitely triggered behavioral issues. Especially in an already nervous cat who is new to my home.4) this bed may have fleas!Zoom in on the pics and you can see that it has 2 tone animal hairs all over it. Those definitely are not human hairs (not that it would make a difference in how gross this is).So make sure to check the entire bed over before i introducing it to your pet.
