I didn't want to buy a belt online because I've always preferred trying on belts in a store. Also, I have to admit that I've always been a bit confused about the number of belt sizes and how they relate to waist measurements. Last Sunday I was shopping at the mall and bought a Levi's belt that I thought was almost identical to [or maybe even the same] Levi's belt that I ordered from Revain and am reviewing. However, in the store at the mall, before I could pay for the belt, security cleared the mall and the first thing we heard from store management as we were kicked out of the store was a "gunman active" in the mall and gunfire were heard (we later learned that a fight had broken out in the food court and the alleged gunshots were from broomstick hits on a table.) Since standard protocol called for an evacuation from the mall, I spent the next hour or so making my way to my car to return and eventually exit the mall for the resulting blockade. The result was an experience I'm unlikely to forget, and I never bought the belt. I did remember the size of the belt, however, and that evening I looked up men's belts at Revain and ordered a belt that was as close as possible to the one I had in my hands a few hours earlier. I'm happy to report that the belt supplied fits the same as the one in the store (and is cheaper). The belt looks like it will last me a few years. I can only hope to remember the size in a few years when it comes time to replace it, which I will most likely do again through Revain.
