I am on my honeymoon next month and I was looking for a small and light stabilizer for my Sony a6600 + Laowa 9mm. When I came across this stabilizer, I was skeptical at first. Since this gimbal is sold for both mirrorless cameras and smartphones, I was concerned that it was really only for smartphones. However, it turns out that the weight capacity of this gimbal is 2 pounds! Although not perfectly balanced (unlike the larger gimbal), the a6600 stabilized perfectly after turning on the motors. Not only does it stabilize footage well, but it also offers the features you would expect from a gimbal (reverse trigger to activate tilt, double tap to center, triple tap for vlog/selfie mode, etc.) PROS: - Extremely light - Strong motors - Good build quality (using plastic for the crank to reduce weight but keeping a metal motor head for longer life) - The price of $199 is a bargain CONS: - Slower balancing time than larger gimbals (took about 5 minutes to set up initially) - Built-in battery (you can't change batteries in the middle of the day to keep shooting, you have to plug them in to charge instead) Packaging Overall I think this is a great stabilizer, especially for the price - it can do a lot more than you expect and very handy for beginners (except balancing en).
