Review on High-Quality Oil Rubbed Bronze Recessed Toilet/Tissue Paper Holder with Mounting Bracket - Durable All-Metal Construction for Designers Impressions by Shawn Reiff

Good Bathroom Accessory

I refreshed the bathroom by replacing the contractor's original fixtures, faucet and towel rails with higher quality items in oiled bronze. I also decided to replace the original toilet roll holder with a recessed one to match the rest of the fixtures. The finish of this recessed holder is perfectly matched to the finish of Price Pfister faucets and towel rails. Installation is easy. Pick a location, use a stud/wire finder to see if there are any studs or wires in the way, cut a hole in the drywall, use the template provided as a guide, and install (note that stud finders no plastic water, detect drains or vent pipes, they are all in the bathrooms). The device has two screws (see photo) screwed into a metal bracket. When the screws are tightened, the bracket and the edge of the holder are sandwiched between them by drywall. Once the screws are tightened, the installation becomes very secure. I didn't give 5 stars for one reason: the screws are 1/4-1/2" too long. When installed in a wall framed by 2x4 lumber, they will make contact with the backside of the drywall or the casing of the opposite wall. The bolts should be trimmed about 1/2" to prevent this. If you don't have a special tool for cutting bolts, make sure you put a nut on the bolt before tightening it If you pass the nut past the cut end you can remove the threads.
