These patio lights are very easy to use and display. I just read and followed the instructions in the box. I made sure to place the solar panel in a sunny spot and hang the string along the fence. The next day I pressed the power button, pressed the mode button until I thought it was on all the time, and that same evening the light flashed brightly as I looked out the back window on the first floor of our home. Now I need to set the mode to constant light. There are about 8 modes to choose from. I think it would be useful to number the modes so customers know how many times to press the mode button as the written instructions are quite small. But I love my lights!
