This device has a purple lens with some red LEDs behind it. When the headset is in use, the LEDs flash differently. The lamp has a black base with screw holes. Screws were not included. The base also has an adhesive loop that stays where you leave it. The cable is soft and flexible and has a standard 3.5mm audio jack at a 90 degree angle. The cord is five feet eight inches long. Any excess length of cord that you are not using can be wrapped around the base just behind the lens. The whole is oval 2 1/2 inches by 1 7/8 inches and 1 inch deep. This item did not come with any instructions. It's not that he really needs them, it's just the light that plugs in. This light can only be seen from the front. This light didn't work with my Plantronics headset but I was able to turn the light on.
