I have purchased/installed many tempered glass screen protectors over the years (for myself, family or friends). In this case I bought two (one for me and one for my brother). This is the first time any of us have had any problems and now there are several. The main disadvantage is that this screen protector does not have the right dimensions to fully cover the displayed part of the screen. There is a margin of a few millimeters in the vertical dimension, but the horizontal dimension is a few millimeters shorter. This makes it physically impossible to apply the protective film so that it completely covers the entire backlit part of the screen. That alone makes it worse than any protector we've ever bought or used before. Seems like a framed setup should work just fine. It properly aligns the right side of the phone screen. The camera notch isn't ideal in this case, though, and there's an annoying several millimeters gap on the left side of the phone (the fit looks good until you turn on the phone, and then the backlight accentuates the gap). . However, there were two small gaps left and right of the display, which is the best this protector can do since it wasn't made wide enough. This is particularly disappointing as they have a few millimeters of headroom if they wanted to make the tread wider (widening would also make the frame installation method more successful if they placed the camera hole in the right place). Finally, this is the first tempered glass screen protector I've bought that broke when the phone was dropped (it protected the screen itself, meaning the screen protector isn't a total failure). Since they have a lifetime replacement guarantee I guess I'll see if they fix the problem but the replacement will likely be just as disappointing as the original.
