Review on 💧 Reliable Liberty Pumps SJ10 SumpJet Water Powered Back-Up Pump for Effective Backup - Gray by Darrell Sharp

I installed these on a property that had a history of flooding which occurred when Tropical Storm Isaias hit and cut power for over 24 hours. The Isaias tornado caused extensive damage to buildings/trees, making it almost impossible to get to the property quickly and troubleshoot. A few years ago I already had a basement drainage system installed that prevents flooding when air conditioning is in place. The sump jet is probably 3ft deep so it could easily rise above the AC powered sump so it only kicked in when something went wrong. I installed check valves in the outlet of both sump pumps and a dual Watts check valve in the water supply line to that pump. When we were done we stripped the AC powered sump and filled in the pit to test it. I was amazed at how quickly this system lowered the water in the pit to about 9 feet. I'm sure this will prevent another flood if the power goes out in the future. The pump appears to be a quality product at a very reasonable price. I've considered a DC/inverter backup power supply for the swamp, but I don't like being dependent on batteries. What happens when batteries die or fail due to lack of preventive maintenance? And I like the cost of this product compared to other options. Great product / price.
