I bought this item because my baby has reflux and spits up a lot. After her first choking attack, I decided to elevate her torso to prevent another choking attack while I was sleeping. Thus, this product has proven to be effective in this regard. However, the problem arose right after receiving it. I washed it before using it on my child. But after the first washing (cold water and low temperature drying), it lost its shape and became very wrinkled, so it could not be straightened, which made it very uncomfortable to the touch. However, I prepared it for use. The "installation" instructions seem simple enough, but the velcro actually makes it very difficult to line up the parts properly and is believed to leave scratches on hands. Despite the difficulties, I used it. Unfortunately my kid hated it. In the three nights I've used it, my child hasn't slept well. Instead, she squirmed violently with discomfort from the restraints imposed by the straps. When I had to change a diaper in the middle of the night, I had to force open the Velcro, which made a very loud noise that not only woke up my baby but also my husband. I didn't expect that from this product. Overall the concept is very good, but it didn't really work on all fronts.
