Not OG! in kitchen & dining room

We bought two slapchops cheap when we first saw them on TV. Even back then, TV gadgets were notorious for not living up to their hype. Slapchop was a big surprise. It was a solid whole and it was never cut! Two of them lasted over ten years with frequent use. The current version is not even remotely reminiscent of the first model. Any upgrades, such as opening to clean the blades, only destabilize the once-solid construction. Not only is the plastic cheap, but all the hinges and moving parts make it wobbly. I don't think it will last a week let alone a decade. However, it breaks, and for that reason and out of nostalgia, it is kept and used until it becomes too big a problem. Now I'm looking for a more reputable brand than this that looks like a win in a cereal box. Don't waste your money falling into the same nostalgia trap as us boys. Are you looking for the best quality and branded chopper. It will probably cost less.

Pros
  • βœ” STAINLESS STEEL AND LARGE CUP CONTAINER: The slap chop blades are made of high-quality stainless steel and the practical large cup container holds all your pieces. High-quality blades peel garlic and onions in seconds.
Cons
  • It's not as good as it says it is
