Very Hot. I am amazed at how hot this drive can get even when installed in an open case. I do a lot of builds a year and have never bought an ADATA SSD but decided to give it a try to save some money. Installation is as easy as any other SSD - they're all easy. I noticed that this drive is lighter than other SSDs, giving it a cheap look. Each drive I install is usually a clone of another drive. This operation is write-intensive and provides a good measure of performance. What I didn't expect was a SMART warning that the hard drive temperature is approaching 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit)! I've never had such a hot drive, SSD or HDD. After the cloning was completed, I left the drive idling for over an hour and the temperature dropped to 40 degrees Celsius and no less. Excessive heat will cause electronics to deteriorate and eventually fail. I am returning this item as defective. If that's normal, then that's very bad design. By the way, 937 GB is not 1 TB. This is disinformation.
