I love the color and design of this collar. The problem is, through my own fault, the collar is loose on him and one day falls off. I think I misunderstood the listing for the small collar which is for 15" to 19" necks. My Sheltie's neck is closer to 14 inches but admittedly it's hard to measure because he has very fluffy fur. If the collar is as tight as possible and the retaining tab is pressed against the buckle, it's still too big. *Nevertheless* I can easily cut the webbing and remove about 2 inches from it and sew the overlap to get the perfect collar. . In my opinion it's well worth the effort as the martingale collar works best for narrow headed dogs like shelties and greyhounds that can easily pull regular buckle collars off. Martingales are also great for training as they are softer than choke collars but still allow you to correct your dog with a slight tug on the leash.
