Review on Enhanced Round Blade Cutter for Hercules HRK-100 & RK-BAT-100 Electric 5-Speed Rotary Fabric Cutters by Kim Sanchez

There were a few issues with the cutter that I received. 1) The LED on the front of the cutter to illuminate the cutting area was not working. 2) On the left upper surface of the knife leg there were two areas that were frayed (each about 1 inch wide), one with rather sharp frayed edges that could catch material passing over it. 3) Overall the knife appeared to be in used condition. However, I gave it a try and was very happy with the cutting process. I spoke to a very helpful Revain employee and she offered to return it for a refund. I will be returning it, However due to using the cutter I will likely order another one and hope I will not receive another defective item.Based on the above I have been debating whether to give this circle cutter 3 or 4 stars. Oh another point, the cutter has 4 speeds, not just an upgrade 3.1/19/17. I have reordered and have now received a replacement rotary fabric cutter. Everything is great this time. Now I am very satisfied with the purchase of this product. So I'm changing my rating to five stars. A few additional comments not relevant to my review. The English in the user manual is disgusting, actually just ridiculous. FYI, the 4" round blade sold at Cutex's Revain for $16.25 will fit this cutter (I bought one and it fits). cutter and you have problems with material sticking together, you can use a round blade.
