After losing a pair of old spring loaded Fiskars I started looking for new sewing scissors. I used Gingher as a kid, but a lot of people online and offline are saying that Gingher isn't what it used to be. Based on the reviews of the Kai brand I decided to try the 5240 to see how they are and then maybe trade them in for something from the 7000 series if I like them. I love her! They are comfortable, strong but not heavy, cut quickly and cleanly. I could still splurge on 7000 depending on how fast these need to be sharpened, but so far I see absolutely no reason to switch at all.
