The only reason I gave this dog 4 stars instead of 5 is that there is no hole to attach the leash when wearing a harness underneath. This is definitely a design flaw. I had to cut out the slit and cover it with clear nail polish so the cut threads wouldn't cause "spreading". (I could probably also melt the cut edges with a burning incense stick, which is what I do with the cut ribbons.) So far it's working perfectly as I haven't seen a single flea or tick on it since she's worn it. It seems pretty magical to me. By the way, she weighs 14 pounds and the medium suits her. I wrote above on 12/26/15. Now 6/7/18. I'll order another one of these soon. Overall it's holding up great except it's a bit stretched. I wanted to put the elastic through the opening at the neck because now it's riding too far over the shoulders. However, I think after 2.5 years the flea protection isn't as effective as it used to be because I think she picked up a few fleas. Instead of fixing the stretching problem, I decided to buy a new one. The polished hole I made still works great for giving us the option to pinch it or clip under it. Making your own hole for the leash may be better than encouraging the manufacturer to do so. This allows you to line up the cut perfectly with the D-ring on your dog's harness. It only takes a few minutes. I also believe that superglue prevents "bleeding" from cut edges as well as clear nail polish.
