Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Inkbird ITH-10 Digital Thermometer Hygrometer Temperature Humidity Monitor for Humidors, Guitars, Ukuleles, and Mason Jars. by Mike Pfettscher

Revainrating 1 out of 5

This inkbird slowly mispointed and killed $300 and then cigars

When I first got the device I had an old hydrometer with me and they were relatively the same for a week and then I drew it out of here. thought the inkbird was awesome. Efforts were then made very slowly to keep the relative humidity too low. I live in a high desert so moisture retention in cigars is a big issue. The relative humidity here in winter is always around 20 or less. As it slowly disappeared, I continued to add wet cedar leaves. Once I found out the box wasn't the problem and put the old hydrometer back in, I kept the cigars at over ninety percent relative humidity and the temperature here averaged around 60. My first clue was a Montecristo Platinum, which I bought could hardly endure. That's over $300 in cigars, averaging over $10. I have all sorts of fans in the box and a cedar structure that separates the cigars to allow air to circulate. I used the thin cedar leaves that come with the cigars, dampened them and added them in strategic places to deliver moisture. Because the Inkbird is supposed to be so good, I always assumed the box was leaking or something, but this would be my first time and I had to put everything back together before these guys started drying out. I think the moral is: never trust a hydrometer. and most reviews are written by the people who sell them.
