Review on πŸŽ’ CamelBak Sundowner LR 22 Hydration Pack for Women, 100oz by Puggzy Wallin

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Five stars for the packaging, zero for the awful blister

What's up with camelbak blisters lately? The only time I've successfully filled my bladder without leaking was the first time I emptied it. The gasket around the top of the screw is very finicky. I had two other people try sealing it and they had the same results. I couldn't fill it with more than one throw so it wouldn't leak. I've read a number of online reviews of similar Camelbak cameras and a surprising number have had the same issue. Some people have said that they have to align the top of the screw correctly or it won't close (although it appeared to be screwed in correctly). In the end, out of frustration, he threw away the bladder that was with him. Instead, I just use a few bottles of Nalgene. Now to the bag. That's incredible. I'm 5ft 1in and was able to adjust the backpack to fit properly. I live in the desert so most of my hikes have been HOT and I never knew what I was missing when the backpack wasn't sitting squarely on my back. Lots of pockets and zipper options. Two well sized mesh side pockets for my Nalgen bottles until I found the right reservoir. It is excellent for day trips and can also be suitable for shorter overnight trips. Overall I'm happy with the bag, but I wish the bladder would work as well.
