The thermostat is inaccurate Works a lot but not according to your numbers

I'm a fan of Lasko heaters. My last one has worked 10 years with no complaints and recently stopped working. I saw this heater and was impressed by all the 5 star reviews, compact size and design. Everything looked amazing. When I received it and unpacked it, I was even more impressed. After using it for one night I realized it wasn't for me. I have already mentioned some of the BENEFITS I have experienced about this heater. Here are three major cons for me: 1. The THERMOSTAT function is extremely inaccurate. I mean far. Some heaters can deviate by 2-3 degrees, which can be considered normal and even forgivable for a great heater. That's a deviation of 8-10 degrees. This is totally unacceptable. If the manufacturer fixes this, it's a 5-star all-day purchase.2. When the room temperature reaches the temperature that the thermostat thinks it should turn off (not the one you set), it takes up to 60 seconds for the fan to turn off. I can't stand this feature. All Lasko heaters I've had turn off immediately when the room reaches the right temperature and the thermostats are always incredibly accurate.3. The LED indicators are very attractive and useful during the day. At night, when I want to sleep and prefer the darkness in the room, the LEDs of this small heater illuminate the entire bedroom. I know many other heaters can be the culprit, but some heaters have a LIGHT or DARK setting for ALL LEDs. It would be nice to be able to turn the display backlight on/off, have a brightness/dimming function or even turn off 20-30 seconds after the last command from the heater or remote and have an LED indicator. Sign in by pressing any button on the device or remote control. With all the smart technology available today, I don't think the moon is necessary. These things require further consideration. Many people buy blackout curtains to keep the light out. Building a compact heater with a dashboard that SHINES like a 747's INSTRUMENT PANEL seems like child's play. Back to Lasko for me! Why change something good. sorry asterion but you have ways to earn my trust. Probably the most unusual thing is that I noticed that most of the 1 star reviews complained about a faulty THERMOSTAT only after the heater was bought and used. I usually read 5 and 1 star reviews and then decide. Unless you're very picky and don't care about the accuracy of the thermostat, you'll love everything else about this heater.

Cons
