Installed this switch a month ago, works perfectly. The other day it was running about every two hours and I couldn't figure out why. I checked everything I could to see what made it work. It turned itself off when nothing was plugged into the outlet in the garage. It can't be GFI, I just swapped it. Well, in a pinch, I thought maybe GFI was going bad after just a month. I came here to read the reviews and this seems to be a common problem with this company's GFI products. I spent the extra $3 and bought a Leviton GFI and the problem was solved. Works perfect. I would stay away from this product, spend a few bucks more, buy a good brand, install it and forget about it!
