Sturdy but uncomfortable

After reading the reviews I was glad to try these. They're heavy and the curves help them hold on, but with hair as heavy and straight as mine, they just don't hold. I can tuck a bun in and 5 or 6 of them seem to hold it securely, but when I go for a walk they all slip out when I'm a block away. The ends are nicely rounded and quite comfortable to wear, but they just don't hold the hair. I return to the French.
