Soft case. Better than the ZAGG keyboard case I had before. I really like typing in portrait format - for me it's even easier on the eyes. The hinge is fairly loose and doesn't offer much resistance, so adjusting the alignment isn't difficult. My iPad 2 fits perfectly in the case and I've found that I like having my face free. The case overall looks much nicer than I expected. She's not as clumsy as I expected, and overall quite pleasant. However, I cannot take a close look at the keyboard at the moment because my product arrived defective. It takes no responsibility no matter what I have done. We tried different sources, different cables, turning it on and off and pressing the Bluetooth button for different times. The light flashes once and turns off. We plugged it in overnight and still woke up with a dead product. I have contacted Targus through their website and am awaiting a response. I'm rather disappointed at the moment as this is the only keyboard case I really liked. The first one I bought was stolen when the delivery man put the box on my chest. to move instead of renting it out to an office. Revain replaced it perfectly for me so I was very happy to get a replacement. Open it up and find that it's broken. Fair disappointment. I will update this review after receiving a response from Targus.
