There is a push pull lawn mower with a built in starter. The Troy bilt lawn mower came with a small wall charger. The battery no longer held a charge, so I replaced both the battery and the charger. The charger is attached directly to the mower on the type plate between the handles and the charging cable is connected directly to the battery cable (disconnect the plug). The ideal solution. Recharging is not lost, recharging is better in general, and with a new battery, the electric start function works fine.
