We were very happy with this product until recently when we discovered that the chew star attachment was defective. Our 7 month old has been teething for two months which means she could choke on any rubber that could be easily scratched. I bite my nails (as you noticed in the video) and even I can easily scratch the rubber. My husband and I also noticed that there was a small piece missing from the rim. It is possible that our child left it as we detached it from the rocker for easier access. However, our child does not have enough strength to throw such a toy on our carpet with enough force to break it. There are many rubber toys that aren't that scratchy and I think for the money you're spending on this seesaw that shouldn't be a problem. I will be calling Bright Starts to voice my concerns as given the dye used and the fact that this product (as stated by the manufacturer) is not made from natural rubber and is a product could be potentially harmful for any child to ingest. which is made in China. I recently read that China is known to use LEDs and even cadmium in baby products. Especially chew toys. I wish I had researched this sooner. For your child's safety, I highly recommend removing the sprocket before using this bouncer.
