Against my better judgement I decided to try this tent, even after reading the reviews. I thought it was really cute. It definitely isn't a two person tent, my husband and I were shoulder to shoulder. But I was buying it for myself for when I went solo, so those reviews didn't matter to me, where there were complaints of it being too small. I read that it wasn't waterproof, but if you bring a tarp you are all set, I read about putting a foot print under it as well. I did have the footprint, because I always use a footprint. I didn't put the tarp over it, because I left it at home. But my feelings are that if you have to put a tarp over it then why use it, you are adding weight to your tent by bringing a tarp right? So just buy one that is waterproof that you don't need a tarp with.I own a half dome tent and just wanted to get something lighter. I guess this tent would be ok if you only went in fair weather, but I am not a fair weather hiker, I go out when I go out, the weather doesn't stop me from backpacking.I also didn't care for the fact there were no pockets on the inside of the tent. I should note my husband and myself are not huge people, I am 5'8" he is 5'11" and medium sized.We had water dripping on our bodies and coming up from the bottom. There is a picture of the pool of water that was at the bottom of the tent, we were on a slight grade so it all came to the bottom corner, where all of my clothes were. I do not know if any came in from the zipper as someone else stated.DO NOT BUY if you are thinking of backpacking, unless you know for sure you will not get any rain!
