Review on CUCUMI Collapsible Silicone Bottles: Waterproof Food Service Equipment & Supplies for Tabletop & Serveware by Steven Pankey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good jar, lousy lids

Pros first: Jars are quite thick glass, decent quality if you use them for condiments. The fact that they are square is something every room designer should be aware of as you can fit more in the same area of your shelf. Big size and also flat bottom. The nice thing is that they come with a variety of shaker lids that you can use. The metal lids can be labeled with a marker. Cons: The labels are useless as they are black. They cannot be written on with a felt pen. I had a drawing pen that worked, but how many people have it laying around? They must be white for people to use the marker. The labels are too small. Do them by the diameter of the lids, metal lids suck. I suspect it might be the tin's fault but they don't fit well, they overtighten very easily resulting in skipped threads. If you need tightness, don't use it. The funnel is useless. Leave it out of the box and make better lids. The funnel is made of silicone, everything sticks to it. You will need to wash and dry this between uses. I dropped the funnel, brush, and labels in about 5 minutes. I simply placed the new glass on top of the old container and tipped them over (while standing over the sink). Minimal rainfall and better than slow pouring. I didn't want to bottle spices all day.

Pros
  • Consistent results when tested
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
