Once it arrived and I unpacked this bender I immediately noticed two quality issues. One is merely cosmetic in nature that relates directly to how the item is painted/coated. The finish is uneven and splotchy in some areas and almost absent in others. I can live with cosmetic problems given the price of the tool though.The other issue that I had is with it's actual function. The black bar that goes between the upper and lower handles and allows it to bend the tubing on mine was installed poorly. It sits at an angle, going inward, forcing the bar to interfere with the outer edge of the bend radius on the lower handle. It makes it nearly impossible to operate smoothly, and only increases the effort of trying to bend stainless tubing, of which it already takes a great deal to do.I don't know if this issue is unique to the one I ended up getting shipped or a common issue as not many people have reviewed this product, but be warned that it may be a possibility and don't be afraid to consider other alternatives.
