Review on CHUWI GemiBook Lightweight Notebook Keyboard Computers & Tablets by Brandon Patterson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Buy it for the screen

Absolutely the best screen on any laptop, even close to this price point (it uses the same panel as the Huawei Matebook 13, which costs literally three times as much). I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rest of the laptop, with a solid aluminum and plastic chassis, a very comfortable keyboard, and a decent webcam with optimal placement at the top of the screen. The storage and RAM is a great size for the price. The processor isn't very powerful for a modern device, but it's definitely fast enough for web browsing and word processing; It's MILES better than the Celeron N3350 in my old netbook that originally sold for the same $350 price. An issue with the laptop and I've noted a few questions about this above - the laptop comes with Windows 10 but it does NOT come with a valid activation key - see pictures. It seems that due to cost reasons, CHUWI uses the same Windows key on many different laptop installations, rendering the activation invalid. You can continue to use Windows as usual, except for some personalization options, such as B. customizing your own desktop. Background. It also keeps showing the "Activate Windows" watermark in the lower-right corner of the screen, which can be a bit annoying. I'm willing to put up with that, but I wish CHUWI could be more open about this flaw in an awesome budget laptop.
