Daughters 5 and 9 years old. I listen to them when they say they scratch their ears while wearing them. The grip it has on the hair is amazing but I love the shine and quality. Very beautiful. But this is very bad. Now the pads just sit in the drawer, so pretty and shiny. But they scratch my daughters behind the ears and that's why my girls end up taking them off. Maybe the design could be changed where it doesn't go behind the ear? Or, if so, soften the shiny material a bit at the ends? Just a thought. I would order again if the design changed a bit
