They were very bright once you set them up and maintained that brightness for hours but quickly dimmed. I probably shouldn't have left it on overnight, but I'm only human. So if you turn them off after a few hours and then turn them back on, the battery might last a little longer than mine. They fade pretty quickly anyway. So unless you're only going to be using them for a few hours, maybe buy the ones that you plug into an outlet. Unless you want to change the battery every 2 1/2 days or so. It comes with a mini screwdriver (the cutest thing) to change the battery.
