This is a good starter kit for a newborn or toddler. It comes with everything you need to get started and lots of other goodies I didn't even know existed. There's a lighted booger picker (yes it's a real thing) that helps light up the nostril so you can actually see what you're doing, a mucus aspirator, a mucus plunger aspirator, nail clippers, a glass file for nails (glass). is the safest and best for those sharp little nails) comb, large tweezers (for more boogers), scalp brush for cap, toothbrush and gum cleaning container, thermometer, medical syringe and small scissors. Of all these items, there are some that I will not be using. The thermometer isn't accurate, it read 2 or more degrees down, so I don't trust it. I will never use those tiny nail scissors, nor will I likely use a medical syringe as medication always comes with its own measuring syringe which I would trust more. What I really like is that the whole set comes in a nice zipped hard case to keep all those little items. Overall this is a good starter kit but I would definitely recommend getting a better quality separate thermometer.
