Review on 🎨 Faber-Castell Comic Illustration Set - The Famazings Superhero Comic Book Drawing Kit with Pitt Artist Pens & Goldfaber Coloring Pencils: Unleash Your Creative Superpowers! by Carla Anderson

Not the best and not recommended for children under 15.

Set numbers so low. In theory, the set is ideal for a beginner. The booklet is short but to be honest I've never read a good book on how to draw. But I will say that the book does point you in the right direction on some things, although you need other things to better understand the concepts, which makes the booklet great for a young artist interested in comics. However, I appreciate the many translations. I highly doubt I will buy it again to give as a gift and keep this one for myself. I tested all the products in the box on Canson multimedia paper. 98 lbs/160g I'll go through each item in turn. I start with the eraser. I think this works pretty well and the eraser pieces stick together as advertised. Minimal smearing even when marking with heavier hands. Will most likely buy this type of eraser again if I use this one. Next comes the mechanical pencil and the HB pencil. It's 0.5, which is good for detail. Not sure what kind of leash is in it but for the price of the kit it's decent. Was a bit disappointing that it came with a blue LED but there are 3 or 4 normal LED tips in the chamber of a mechanical pencil. So changing the LEDs is a hassle. I like that the pressure cap screws down to reveal the eraser. The HB pencil is pretty standard, not much to say about that. It's hard to screw up a basic HB wooden pencil. I don't have much experience with hand sharpeners, but this one seemed good to me. The padded grips were decent at best and not even remotely waterproof. I was able to get them off my hands fairly easily and they got quite smeared. What disappointed me the most was the blue LED. Although the brochure explains it very well and its uses. I've never used blue LEDs, but the one that comes with it is so soft it keeps breaking and I don't have such a heavy hand as beginners and especially kids. Even with the greatest care, the stylus kept breaking off, unlike the stylus that was in the child's hand pencil. Let's get to the handles. The handles were fine. I have a better quality set of Faber Castell pads but I'm not too offended. It comes with three. I checked them all. Not waterproof at all though. They wash off easily. The bright star of this set are the colored pencils. The pigment is fantastic and to be honest they seem to be more pigmented than other HQ pencils I have. However, the colors are not perfect. Only one skin tone is provided, which is common but a real bummer. I highly recommend going elsewhere to get an artist set. Or build your own. I recommend supporting a local art store and spending about $30-$35 on a basic Prismacolor set, a mechanical pencil, pink erasers, and a pack of cheap #2 pencils in a comic-style pencil case with a Canson sketchbook . I recommend 9x12 or less. . There are also many art guides on Youtube that are more helpful than this booklet.
