Review on ๐ŸŽง Bose QuietComfort 20i Noise Cancelling Headphones with Acoustic Technology by Candace Kiselev

Revainrating 4 out of 5

They work very well, but not for very long on a single charge.

Specially designed for use with iOS devices. Bose also makes the QuietComfort for Android and other music players, but they have a different model name. These are good noise canceling headphones. They're fairly light and look almost exactly like the SoundSport. Please note that the silicone ear tips are thicker and larger than regular ear tips to ensure a snugger fit on the ear and therefore ensure the noise cancellation is working. Because the noise-cancellation can be toggled on and off via the boxed panel, they can be used without batteries, although like most headphones they work through noise isolation. The cancellation process itself works like most other similar products, where it produces a deep, flat tone that cancels out background ambient noise. The effect works quite well, making these headphones ideal for places like planes, subways, or other places where you don't need background noise. However, they are probably not safe to use when walking as they can mask the sounds of cars and oncoming traffic. My main complaint is that the battery doesn't last very long, maybe only 6-8 hours, and requires USB. charging cable. These are wired headphones and such a short battery life is what I usually associate with Bluetooth wireless headphones. It would be nice if Bose could squeeze a little more battery life out of each charge, but that would likely result in a much heavier and bulkier product. I understand the compromises that had to be made to choose a comfortable headphone design. But maybe future models can offer better battery life.
