Look, I'm not a master mechanic and I don't use my tools on an hourly, daily, or even weekly basis. When leveling up as a weekend warrior and fixing, assembling, or fiddling with something, I love having the right tools for the job. In the last year or two I have filled my "instrumental gaps". A few weeks ago while working on something I realized I didn't have a deep metric socket for a 3/8" rim. I've had 1/4" and 1/2" drives and was able to get the job done, but the 3/8" drive was better suited for the space and screw size. My choice is Craftsman, GearWrench, Neiko. and Capri Tools along with Tekton. I know most of them aren't (or no longer) made in the US if his branded stuff is outsourced these days, so how do you even know? Tekton offers a fantastic balance of price and quality. Anyone who makes money with tools can invest in corresponding funds, but for me Tekton offers great tools at a great price.
