This is the first time I've been able to use audio directly from a microphone to record video. I didn't have to do anything at the post office. In the past I've used lavalier mics, pistol mics, and two "studio" mics. All of this had to do at least something in post, at least just noise reduction. This one is better than all my studio mics. No filters or noise reduction required. Very easy to use with PC and iPad. I record audio with GarageBand for iPad and this is directly related to the USB-C connection. There was no lag with my headphones either. The gain and volume controls worked as expected. Mute mutes both the microphone sound and the headphones. In general, the impressions are pleasant. The mic picks up some noise from the table, so I mount it on either a pole or boom arm rather than the small tripod that comes with the kit. The supplied tripod is made of 100% plastic. The pop filter is a metal screen in a plastic frame. Instead, a real pop filter will be used for future videos. This seems to be more for decoration. It's well worth the price and I would definitely recommend it to anyone just starting out. It outperforms every other mic I've used in this price range.
