Just opened. I love these sheets! Excellent quality. Not too thin, comfortable weight. Contrasting material in small checks in light pink or pink on a white background. The floral fabric is white with bouquets of roses in red, soft pink and darker but warm mauve; Also included are small lilac or pale lavender flowers and light green and dark green leaves. No other drawings, just flowers and leaves. Nicely and securely packaged, shipped quickly and delivered on time. In a zip pocket and also in an opaque zip pocket that can be used for storage. The queen set includes 2 pillowcases with 2 top and 2 bottom ties, flat sheet and fitted sheet. All raw material edges are sewn for edge finishing and all finished edges are covered when the bed is made. Particular attention is paid to the top/flat sheet as a thin iridescent heart ribbon is sewn around 3 of the four sides, covering the 'ruffle' of material to be draped over the sides of the bed once made. The same tape is sewn a little higher over the sheet where the foot of the bed will be, there is also a seam where 2 pieces of sheet material are connected. As another reviewer pointed out, top sheets should not be placed on a bed wrong side up and head turned backwards, but should be placed face up with the fabric hanging down the sides and foot of the bed . Bed. Can even be used without a bedspread or bedspread as the top sheet is so pretty. The elastic around the sheet runs all the way around and is fully sewn on with no visible raw or finished edges - very beautiful and durable. An additional feature: A small piping line is sewn around what will later be the top of the mattress (made of a contrasting pink melange material). Pleasant cotton crispiness of all parts. The pillowcases fit standard pillows and can be fastened together at the sides with strips of fabric (should not be used by anyone who could snag or choke on these strips of fabric) made from matching pink gingham fabric and beautifully sewn. The fabric tab is sewn into the top to act as a pocket for your pillow so your pillow is not visible through the opening where the cover is attached. The same soft pink checkered material is used for the back of the pillowcase. After washing, the set survived a delicate wash in warm water and a hot rinse well. After hand smoothing the ribbons on the pillowcases (to avoid ironing), I hung them outside to dry for a vintage feel. If you are machine drying I would suggest placing the pillowcases in a delicates bag or other closed pillowcase to avoid tearing or otherwise damaging the fabric ties. I would buy them again and will definitely use this seller and brand again. Very happy with this purchase.
