I bought these to give my son a housewarming present in his new home. The packaging smelled so strongly of plastic that the towels also smelled very strongly. It was the kind of smell you definitely don't want to rub all your clean dishes with. I had to wash them three times to get rid of the smell. After the third wash I noticed when folding that one of them fell apart. The seams were too close to the edge and came undone. It was supposed to be a useful gift to help my son and his roommates get along with some important things so this was a disappointment. The other three towels seem serviceable but still feel uncomfortably crunchy, which makes me wonder how absorbent they will be.
