Fairly easy to install but comes with a spirit level and tape measure. Once you've marked the location and holes for the screws, use a 1/8" bit to make the pilot holes. Then use a 5/16 drill bit to create the space you need to install the plastic insert. The screws don't work and the end of the plastic piece comes off easily. I simply replaced it with a slightly larger, more powerful propeller. And don't use them in a tree, they'll snap right off. Long story short, I haven't used them. After replacing the screws everything works as it should. Oh it's a regular pine shelf with a slight stain. If you're looking for a more finished look, this isn't it, but it looks okay.
