Review on Monster Essentials Mini-to-Mini Audio Interconnect Cable - Premium 2M 3.5mm Male-to-Male AUX Cord with Durable Duraflex Jacket by Erik Richardson

I've had some issues with my Sony headphones due to accidental contact with the original cables, so I've invested in Monster cables. I found the noise level to be very low. In fact, they were completely useless. The twitching of the plugs did not affect the volume in any way. Looking closely at the plugs, I saw roughness on the surface of the plugs - it looked rough, not smooth like a new plug should be. Also, they definitely did NOT look gold plated as stated in the description and on the packaging. I went back to the original cables and bothered to fiddle with the ends of the cables from time to time to restore the sound when it was gone.
