If this fan could handle higher wattage lights I would give it 4 or even 5 stars. Admittedly, it replaced another 19W fan (100W equivalent). 5000k, downward-facing bulb giving lots of light. But while I'm used to that level of brightness, I feel like the illumination this fan provides is below par. No, it's not dark. Yes, I can read easily in its light. However, 2 supposedly equivalent 60w bulbs don't provide the brightness you would expect and I used 5000,000 instead of 3,500,000 bulbs in the kit. I have to wonder why a fan with standard lamp sockets and wiring has a maximum limit of 8.5 watts per lamp. Aside from the lighting issue, I really like this fan. It's virtually silent, even at top speed, and I didn't notice any wobbling at all. True, the top speed is not impressive. However, it moves a lot of air. And it's pretty stylish. Verdict: Lighting is ok, air movement is great, style is pleasing.
