We used this shoe for the marine world water activity in San Antonio and it was extremely useful. In summer the sidewalk is hot and this allows my son to walk without burning his feet. It's not that easy to put on and take off, but it's smart as you don't want it accidentally dropped. We also used it in the national park to wade down the river and it was great protection from the sharp rocks on the beach. Wasn't there long enough to comment on durability.
