Review on πŸͺ’ Treet Platinum Super Razor Blades - Double Edge (Pack of 100) by Crystal Gonzalez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Top marks after 5 month blind test

I chose her after a blind test that lasted over 5 months. During that time I had many brands of blades that I randomly selected to test and rate in several categories I had compiled: drag, burn, close, cuts and cuts, and number of shaves. Each category was rated on a scale of 1 to 5. Each knife brand had 5 patterns so I could try each multiple times. Sampling and testing was done blind: I assessed the blades without knowing which blade was loaded in my razor, took the blades out of their packaging so I couldn't tell by the packaging I chose, then put all the blades into a box and randomly pick one and load it onto my razor in the dark (not a single cut finger!). I only looked at the brand after testing the blade. During the 5 month trial period I used the same razor (Ebo Jager), soap (from a local soap maker) and badger brush to minimize the variables as much as possible and followed the exact same procedure. Brands tested included Treet, Shark, Wilkinson, Derby Extra, Asco, Big Ben, Dorco and Mercur. Before testing I thought my favorites were Big Ben and Mercury. But the highest scores kept going to Treet Platinum. I couldn't disagree with the results. I've been shaving with them for 5 months now and I can say they give me the most consistent and great shave I've ever had. I'm 53 and have been shaving since I was 13, about 40 years old. I've just used razors (throat cut), safety, injector, cartridge and electric razors. And Treat is the best so far. Of course every razor and every person is different, but for me this is rock. If you're on the fence, give them a try!
