Hoped for casual shoes, these did not materialize

We have already bought Columbia brand shoes and they fit well. It was almost impossible to put them on my child's leg. The lace closure is incredibly tight even when the slack is gone. I bought them assuming my 4 year old would be able to put them on by himself with no problem. Disappointed and only worn twice.
