the plastic caps on top of the thrust bearing fell off after 8 days

The product failed. Exactly 8 days after I mounted the gliders on our 4 chairs, the plastic caps on 2 of them fell off. It looks like not enough glue was applied to hold the caps. In comparison, the earlier sliding parts, which we manufactured in a now-closed facility in the US, lasted about 14 years before starting to fail. *less* 1mm thick. Too thin to withstand friction. Sad.
