The only reason I gave it four stars was that I wish I had more canvas for the money spent, but overall it's a great product! I bought this to make a gift exchange decoration and was not disappointed. You use it the same way you use cross stitch fabric. While it took a little getting used to due to the different material, it was very durable and I would definitely use it again and again. The only thing to keep in mind is that your needle won't be pulled in it as tightly as it would in a fabric. So if you don't push the needle all the way through before folding it back, it will sometimes fall out. LAUGH OUT LOUD. Also, remember to use at least two strands of thread when embroidering for full coverage. It was very easy until I covered the back with a piece of felt and sewed the edges of my decoration. I was also able to cut the material very well with my Sharp craft scissors, although it wasn't necessary as the more you work with the plastic, the hotter it gets and the easier it is to cut.
