We wanted to cover the now exposed junction box in the brick wall for both aesthetic and insect repellent reasons. This panel is slightly larger than the box, but it helps hide chipped brick and grout stains where the light has been. A good ring of silicone sealant around the edge of the panel should ensure watertightness before the panel is secured. The black objects in the photo are the screws that attach the plate to the corresponding holes in the box. The plate is only supplied in white, but can be painted. I'm still working on what color we're going to mix into our brickwork.
