I should have done this many years ago. Our 20 year old Ford Sport Trac still had the original 15 inch leather steering wheel cover and it was very uncomfortable. I cut it off and the foam underneath was melted and slimy. It took me another hour to remove that nasty scum with acetone. After the steering wheel was clean it looked really good but it was too thin and smooth so I decided to put a new cover on it. I chose this cover because it is very affordable and also very nice looking and feeling good on my hands with a good grip and padding. The cover felt too small for me but I fitted the cover with no problem little put on the steering wheel On a cold day, putting it in the sun first can help. First time my lace was a few inches shorter so I laced it up, but second time I tightened the lace all the time tight and I ended up cutting off about 12 inches after tying the ends. does not move.
