I didn’t realize when I bought it that it was going to have gold stars all over it. But since they were on the outside, where my bird couldn’t get at them, I kept it. It’s nicely sized seed catcher. However, seed catchers catch more than seeds. They catch flung fresh food and bird droppings. This means they need to be cleaned periodically.I put it in the wash with a bunch of my bird’s plush toys, her sleeping tent and my bed sheets. I didn’t really care if the spangles fell off. However…. I didn’t expect them to come off and RE-ADHERE to everything else in the dryer.I spent three hours yanking stars off of my sheets and my bird’s toys and the lint trap.I threw the seed catcher away. A bird seed catcher that cannot be cleaned properly is useless.
